is very proud to announce a faculty development opportunity and the availability of free instructional resources made available through the Microsoft partnership with the Prince George's Cyber Ready ClinicTM (PG-CRC). This program provides work-based learning experiences for cybersecurity students, including cybersecurity assessment and auditing services for local businesses, government agencies, and community service organizations. 

Over the next year, CyberWatch and Microsoft will be releasing instructional resources to ensure most students are ready to learn, ready to become certified, and ready to obtain gainful employment by applying advances in artificial intelligence to secure Microsoft on-premise and cloud technology platforms. The first releases are Microsoft Learn for Educators course materials, micro-scholarships (up to $500) for certification exam fees and free access to professional career readiness programs, and a free Career Essentials Certificate in Cybersecurity.   

Please register to reserve your seat in the first program described below. Seating is limited. Therefore, reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.

The Microsoft Cybersecurity and AI Bootcamp for Educators to help provide you with curriculum and teaching resources for your programs and classrooms.  The Bootcamp consists of three Sessions. The registration form will enable you to select the time slots that you prefer for each session listed below. Again, please note that seating is limited. Therefore, sessions will be filled based on the date and time that registration was completed.

Session 1 (In-Person at Prince George's Community College)

Time: Thursday, 10/31 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM EDT

This 3.5-hour in-person introduction event includes:

  • Overview of the Microsoft Cybersecurity and AI Bootcamp for Educators 
  • Step-by-step hands-on orientation to enroll and utilize the classroom materials, benefits, resources, and content related to Cybersecurity and AI available through the Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) program.  

Session 2 (Virtual via Microsoft Teams)

This 3-hour virtual training on teaching SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals course in the classroom including:

  • Core Teaching Content and Microsoft Learn for Educators Overview
  • SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals Microsoft Official Courseware
  • The fundamentals of security, compliance, and identity (SCI) across cloud-based and related Microsoft services
  • Exam Preparation – Microsoft Learn Practice Assessments
  • Certification & Requesting Accommodations

Session 3 (Virtual via Microsoft Teams)

This 3-hour virtual training on teaching SC-200: Security Operations Analyst Associate course in the classroom including:

  • SC-200: Security Operations Analyst Associate Microsoft Official Courseware
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft 365 Defender.
  • Gaining Practical Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Services (including
  • Skillable and GitHub course labs)
  • Moving from SC-900 to SC-200
  • Curriculum Integration
  • Helping Students Highlight their Cybersecurity and AI Skills in the Job Market
