Coaching for Everyday Life

Barbara Huffman de Belón, Ed.D., ACC

This seminar equips individuals with the primary skills used by executive and life coaches: intense listening and high-powered question creation. Combining these skills produces richer content and more profound understanding within conversations. The skills can be applied to any conversation, no matter the duration. Conversations with friends, family, co-workers, and team members will become supportive, non-aggressive, and non-judgmental, which ultimately builds solid and trusted relationships.

Included in the participant cost are three 1-hour individual coaching sessions per attendee, scheduled no later than November 30, 2025.

Barbara started her coaching journey via training provided through the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She is a certified Level 2 ELCA Coach, specializing in Discipleship. Dr. Belón received her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation in August, 2022.

During the past five years, Barbara’s coaching assignments included working with ELCA grant recipients, first-call and ordained clergy, business professionals, and college faculty teams. She was also selected as a WBECS/Coaching.com Facilitator for years 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26. As a result of her coaching training and experience, Barbara authored a seminar entitled “Coaching for Everyday Life” which offers concentrated training on listening skills and powerful question creation that can be used in every level of conversation.
